Last thing that got you hyped to skate?

I rub bricked and lacquered this long ledge out in Seattle recently and that got me pretty juiced. It leads to a 90 degree angled down ledge so it’s good for some combos. Funny how none of the homies wanted to help but everyone wanted to skate it…

Best part about Japan?

Hard to pinpoint one part but let me start off by saying that I love trains, so the idea of all the trains in Japan being clean and on time is incredible. It’s a much different ride out in Seattle where fools are literally smoking percs off tinfoil next to you while you’re headed to work. The bullet trains are pretty sweet as well. I grew up in the woods between Portland and Seattle, so it’s pretty comforting to be around big trees and dense forest landscapes, especially being so far away from home.

Dream trip to take?

Australia. Would love to be able to see a kangaroo in real life. Also the lingo out there is pretty one-of-a-kind from what I’ve heard.

Best dude to room with?

My man Noah Holmes 100%. He’s the type that’ll tell you if you’re blowing it, and be down to keep it going until sunrise. Big love Nug.

Handrails or vert ramps?

I love em both, but it all boils down to who I’m skating with. When I was younger I lived far away from all skateparks, so wherever my parents took me I had to make it work.

Favorite shoe to skate?

I loved the Lakai Newport High, they reminded me a lot of Blazers. Pretty sure they were discontinued though.

Round rails or square bars?

I’ll smoke a square but if it’s round, it’s going down.

Favorite Thrasher cover of all time?

There is a cover of Peter Hewitt doing a frontside crossbone at Orcas Island that has always been burnt into my brain. Best skater at the best skatepark in Washington. He is the epitome of true style.

Am who should be pro?

Kyonosuke Yamashita. No question.

What's next for you in 2024?

Just moved into a new spot within Seattle, so the plan is to keep skating/filming and fix up some new spots that need it. The city has a lot of potential but needs some elbow grease to get some of these crusty spots going. But if I really told ya my plan, I’d have to kill ya!

What does skateboarding mean to you?

Skateboarding is essentially a part of me at this point. My life seems to be all out of whack whenever I cannot skate. It’s the root of most friendships I have, and the whole reason why I’ll end up across the globe. I wouldn’t trade skateboarding for the world.
